The secretary of the Iran Airlines Association Maghsoud Asadi Samani announced that due to Turkey`s request, planes from Iran and Afghanistan will not be allowed to enter Turkey, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.

"The latest order has been issued by the Turkish Ministries of Transport and Health,” he said.

He added that sale of tickets from Iran to Turkey has also been cancelled.

The flight of the Islamic Republic of Iran from Tehran to Istanbul, which was suspended due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, had previously been allowed to resume with the permission of the Turkish Aviation Authority.

Meanwhile, he pointed out Iran has launched two flights a week to UAE.

"Doha, Qatar flights to Tehran, Mashhad and Shiraz have also started,” Samani said.

“Emirates Airline has also started its flights to Tehran and Mashhad, which are limited, because of no travel demand,” said Samani.
