Several facilities to be launched in Iran’s Chabahar port

Thirteen port facilities will be launched in the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran) on November 4, said Behrouz Aghaei, the Director General of Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran’s branch in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

According to Aghaei, 4.13 trillion rials (about $98.4 million) were spent on the construction of 13 port facilities to be launched.

Furthermore, the foundation of 11 ports facilities will be laid in the port. About 16 trillion rials (about $380 million) will be spent to these facilities, the director general added.

He emphasized that thus, a container terminal worth about 1.73 trillion rials (about $41.1 million), water and electricity lines worth 1.42 trillion rials (about $33.9 million), and the folding platform and the bridge worth 300 billion rials (about $7.14 million) will be launched at the Chabahar port.
