The volume of cargo transportation by all types of vehicles in Azerbaijan amounted to 171 million tons from January through November 2020, having dropped by 19.6 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, railway cargo traffic accounted for 7.8 percent of all traffic, making up 13.3 million tons.
Around 1.98 million passengers were transported by rail in the past eleven months of this year, said the committee’s report.
The decrease in annual terms in freight traffic was 4.2 percent, and in passenger traffic - 46.7 percent.
In 11M2020, a surplus of 78.4 million manat ($46.1 million) was formed in the state budget of Azerbaijan.
The nominal volume of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Azerbaijan in the reporting amounted to 64.7 billion manat ($38 million).
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues made up over 22.2 billion manat ($13 billion), which is 5.2 percent more than a year earlier.
