Turkmenistan’s Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) agency exceeded the plan for cargo transportation by 6.1 percent, said chairman of the agency Dovran Saburov, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
Saburov said that, at a working meeting on the development of the transport and communication sector, held by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Since January of this year, regular cargo transportation by IL – 76 aircraft has been established on the routes Ashgabat-Istanbul – Ashgabat and Ashgabat-Abu Dhabi – Ashgabat.
Currently, relevant work is underway to carry out cargo transportation in the luggage compartment of the Boeing B777-200LR aircraft from Asia to Europe and from Europe to Asia.
Technical take-offs and landings of foreign aircraft have been carried out at the Turkmenbashi and Turkmenabat international airports since September 1, 2020.
Turkmenistan’s Turkmen Airlines agency exceeded the plan for cargo transportation by 6.1 percent in 2020.
The production plan for the transport and communication complex of Turkmenistan was exceeded by 19.4 percent from January through November, 2020.
Thus, in Turkmenistan, during this period, the plan in the field of cargo transportation by road, rail, air and sea transport was exceeded by 13.6 percent, passenger transportation-by 0.5 percent.
