Kazakhstan boosts cargo transportation by road for January 2021

Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 12.7 billion tenge ($30.4 million) in January 2021, which is 1.8 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 225.9 million tons, which is 6.1 percent less compared to the same period of last year (240.5 million tons in Jan. 2020).

Cargo turnover amounted to 10.9 billion ton-kilometers which is 11.3 percent less than during the same period of last year (12.3 billion in Jan. 2020).

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 6.03 billion tenge ($14.4 million) over the reporting period of 2021, which is 26 percent less than during the same period of last year.

The number of transported passengers amounted to 381.7 million people, which is 79.3 percent less than during the same period of last year (1.8 billion passengers in Jan. 2020).

The passenger turnover amounted to 4.2 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is a decrease of 79.7 percent.
