Cargo containers to pass through Azerbaijan towards Turkey, Europe - ADY Container

The volume of cargo transportation in containers from Central Asia to Turkey along the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway has increased, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, ADY Container LLC, told Trend.

As reported, ADY Container continues to attract cargo from Central Asia and transport them in transit via the BTK to Turkey and Europe through Azerbaijan.

“Currently, a train with 10 containers is running from Tashkent (Uzbekistan) to the Turkish Iskender city, and a train with 30 containers from the city of Bukhara (Uzbekistan) to Turkish Mersin province. These 40 and 45-foot containers will be loaded onto a feeder ship in the port of Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan) and delivered to the port of Baku, after which they will be sent to Turkey via BTK,” the message said.

“Some 15 more containers sent from Bukhara were sent to Bulgaria. After delivery from Turkmenistan to Baku, these containers will be sent to one of the Georgian ports on the Black Sea. From there the containers will be delivered by ships to Bulgaria. In addition, 17 containers with the import cargo from Uzbekistan will be delivered to Azerbaijan by the BTK railway. The final destination of the containers is Hajigabul district", reads the message.

The company added that another 56 containers are planned to be transported from Uzbekistan to Turkey and Europe via BTK in the coming days.
