Loading /unloading of cargo in Iran’s Amirabad port down

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 14.4 percent in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021, through January 20, 2022), compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 178,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 84,900 tons were loaded and about 93,400 tons were unloaded.

In addition, about 76,600 tons of cargo were exported and 78,100 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the 10th month.

Within the 10th month, 8,290 tons of cargo were loaded and 15,000 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

According to the statistics, 22 tons of cargo were loaded and 281 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the 10th month.

"So, 65,400 tons of essential products, 13,700 tons of metal products, 72,400 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,900 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 10th month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.

Moreover, 5,730 tons of chemicals, 1,900 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 342 tons of container products, 14,900 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.

About 17.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 11.9 million tons were loaded and 6.03 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 42 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
