Volume of cargo unloaded at Iran’s Fereidoonkenar port decreases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 3. The volume of cargo unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 78 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

Within the 6th month, a total of 3,960 tons of cargo were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port for transit purpose.

The unloaded products into the mentioned port were crude oil and related products.

In general, about 13.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.67 million tons were loaded and about 6.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.

Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
