BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran), increased by about 51.7 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 300,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 98,900 tons were loaded and about 201,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, about 84,400 tons of cargo were exported and 188,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the 7th month.

Within the 7th month, 13,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 13,100 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

Also, 1,360 tons of cargo were loaded and 373 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the 7th month.

"About 165,000 tons of essential products, 2,760 tons of metal products, 89,400 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,850 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.

Moreover, 26,200 tons of chemicals, 1,700 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 674 tons of container products, and 10,800 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.

In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
