Volume of unloaded cargo at Iran’s Fereidoonkenar port up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 5. The volume of cargo unloaded at Iran’s Fereidoonkenar port in the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 18.7 percent, for the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Trend reports.

Nearly 26,900 tons of cargo were unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port in the 2nd month.

Of that, approximately 22,000 tons were unloaded at the port for imports, while 4,900 tons were unloaded for transit.

Some 19,800 tons of essential products and 7,100 tons of crude oil and related products were unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port for the last Iranian year.

In total, 11.7 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 7.01 million tons were loaded and 4.66 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 3.4 percent compared to the same month in the last Iranian year.

Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
