BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. Azerbaijan has announced the holding of the "Black and Caspian Freight Forum 2023: Corridors, Cargo, and Infrastructure" international conference and exhibition in Baku this week, Trend reports.
According to the organizers, the conference will discuss opportunities for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR or Middle Corridor), the potential of Azerbaijan as a transit platform for international transport corridors, transit through Kazakhstan and Georgia as an important link of the Middle Corridor, the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on changes in international transport routes, and a number of other issues.
In addition, a roadmap for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, or Middle Corridor) will be signed.
Moreover, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev presented to Minister of Transport and Digital Development of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev the draft roadmap for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR or Middle Corridor), which is planned to be signed by its participants.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, the document was developed as part of the instructions of the prime ministers of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan following the June meeting.
It takes into account the recommendations on integrated transport development reflected in the analytical report of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on transport connectivity in Europe and Central Asia.
Furthermore, Azerbaijan and Türkiye are developing cooperation in the field of air navigation.
Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL) and the General Directorate of State Airports of Türkiye (DHMI) signed an agreement on the establishment of a regional platform for the Coordination of Air Navigation Safety of SOCEA air navigation service providers to ensure the safety of air navigation flights between Europe and Asia.
