BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. TRACECA countries pay attention to reducing the time of cargo transportation and border crossing, TRACECA Secretary General Asset Assavbayev said at the Third Conference of China and Central and Eastern European countries, Trend reports.

According to TRACECA, the Third Conference was held under the topic "New Mechanisms of Logistics Cooperation: Hand in Hand for Mutual Benefit and a Win-Win New Future".

Conference participants included representatives from government agencies, including the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China (NRDC), Chinese and foreign enterprises, as well as international organizations and other stakeholders, including TRACECA.

At the meeting, the parties discussed aspects of logistics cooperation development, harmonization and simplification, and effective corridor management.

During the discussions, the TRACECA Secretary General shared current initiatives and opportunities in the corridor, including the need for new approaches to logistics cooperation.

"The main transportation route from Southeast and East Asia to European countries runs through Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye. As TRACECA countries pay attention to reducing the time of cargo transportation and border crossing, digital solutions are being introduced. All this has a positive effect on the possibility of cargo transportation between China and the countries of the European Union," A. Assavbayev noted.

He also emphasized that by cooperating, the sides could raise awareness among logistics companies about the possibilities of transportation along the TRACECA corridor, especially for goods sensitive to delivery time. The Permanent Secretariat expresses its readiness to cooperate to ensure greater and more effective connectivity between the countries of Asia and Europe.

The TRACECA corridor participates in the gradually developing trends of trade and economic development. The main transport flows passing through the corridor are formed, on the one hand, in Western and Central Europe and, on the other hand, in Central and Southeast Asia.
