Tenge, the national currency of Kazakhstan, has strengthened against the US dollar up to a record level since early 2016.
The official exchange rate of tenge increased up to 331.26 KZT/USD on Apr. 27 as compared to 333.70 KZT/USD on Apr. 26, according to the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).
The lowest rate of tenge was observed on Jan. 22 - 383.91 KZT/USD, according to Kazakhstan's National Bank.
Tenge's rate began to decline after the country's National Bank switched to floating rate in August 2015.
