BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. In Kyrgyzstan, retail prices for staple foods increased in April 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to statistics, the most significant increase in retail food price in April 2022 was recorded for these goods:

- The price for long-grain rice in April was 121.3 soms ($1.4), which is an increase of 8.7 percent compared to 111.5 soms ($1.3) in March 2022;

- Price for sunflower oil in April, was 193.7 soms ($2.3), which is 4.6 percent more than in the previous month 185.1 soms ($2.2);

- Lamb meat in April cost 484.1 soms ($5.9) – an increase of 2 percent compared to 474.5 soms ($5.7) in March 2022;

- Green tea in the reporting period cost 67.7 soms ($0.8), which is 1 percent more compared to 64.3 soms ($0.7) in the previous month.

The prices above are the average food prices throughout Kyrgyzstan.
