BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 18. The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan has issued latest data on average essential food prices in the country, Trend reports with reference to the committee's official website.
According to statistical data, the average prices of basic foods in Kyrgyzstan from January 1 through 13, 2023 were as follows (per 1 kg/liter):
- beef 543.6 soms ($6.3);
- bottle of milk 62.3 soms ($0.72);
- sunflower oil 179.3 soms ($2);
- sugar 91.5 soms ($1.06);
- potatoes 33 soms ($0.38);
- wheat 30.5 soms ($0.35);
- first grade wheat flour 52.3 soms ($0.61);
- black tea 100 gr - 96.2 soms ($1.1).
As of January 18, 2023, the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan is 85,68 KGS/ 1USD.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's total food production (including beverages and tobacco) amounted to 61.9 billion soms ($723.4 million) in 2022.
