BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 1. The "Kara-Bagish" and "Bek-Abad" checkpoints located on the Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan border are resuming their operations starting from September 1, Trend reports.

These checkpoints were closed by Uzbekistan in 2010. The operation of them has been resumed following agreements reached between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The "Kara-Bagish" crossing point is in the Aravan district of the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. Only citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are permitted to cross it, and they can do so on foot, without using any transportation, and without transporting goods, merchandise, or animals, except for personal items.

The "Bek-Abad" crossing point is located in the Suzak district of the Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan. It can be used by citizens of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as citizens of other countries. Additionally, passenger cars, regardless of their national origin, can use this crossing point without transporting goods, merchandise, or animals, except for personal items.
