BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, February 1. Kyrgyzstan imported 8,823 tons of oil products from Uzbekistan from January through November 2023, Trend reports.
Data from Kyrgyzstan's State Statistical Committee indicates that the value of these imports amounted to $5.903 million, which is a 16-percent increase compared to January-November 2022 ($5.053 million).
Uzbekistan ranked as the third country from which Kyrgyzstan imported oil products. The leading contributors were Russia, with 460,165 tons valued at $338.204 million, and Kazakhstan, with 76,587 tons valued at $36.020 million.
In total, Kyrgyzstan imported 561,179 tons of oil products from January through November 2023, which is 14 percent less than the same period in 2022 (646,296 tons). The total value of these imports reached $419.095 million, reflecting a 16.4 percent decrease compared to the first 11 months of 2022 ($501.157 million).
The overall trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan reached $633.200 million from January through November 2023, which is a 16.6-percent increase compared to the same months in 2022 ($543.192 million).
