The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Yinglak Shinawatra has expressed confidence that Turkmenistan will continue to play an active role in resolving regional and international issues.

The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Yinglak Shinawatra has expressed confidence that Turkmenistan will continue to play an active role in resolving regional and international issues.

This is stated in a letter addressed to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on the occasion of his re-election to a second presidential term.
"I am confident that under Your Excellency, Turkmenistan will continue to flourish and play an active role in resolving regional and international issues," the message says.

It was also emphasises that the Thai government will work closely with the government to further strengthen the relationship 'for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

Shinawatra congratulated Berdymuhamedov on his re-election to the post of President of Turkmenistan on Feb.12, 2012.

The chairman of the Turkmen Parliament Akja Nurberdieva received the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand (with residence in Ankara) Rathakit Manathat earlier this year.

Fuel and energy, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres were defined as priority areas of bilateral cooperation.
