BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. Turkmenistan is carrying out comprehensive work to build capacity in the field of cargo transportation by aircraft, Trend reports citing Orient news.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Turkmenhowayollary Agency (Turkmen Airlines) Dovran Saburov at the conference "International Transport and Transit Corridors: interconnection and development".
According to him, Turkmenistan has opened 16 new air routes in recent years, which allows airlines to reduce the cost of flights.
Furthermore, he noted that despite the instability of the situation in the field of aviation around the world related to the pandemic, this sphere has remained stable in Turkmenistan due to the support of the state.
"Thanks to the allocated subsidies and preferential loans from the state to the national carrier - Turkmenistan Airlines, which during the pandemic continued to successfully carry out its cargo flights to Asia and Europe, cargo transportation has increased significantly," Saburov said.
