BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. Turkmenistan and Russia signed a memorandum on the development of international road transport, Trend with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
The signed document is aimed at increasing the cargo flow of the eastern route to realizing the transit potential of the International North-South Transport Corridor.
Furthermore, the signing of the memorandum was attended by the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications of Turkmenistan Mammethan Chakiyev, and the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Saveliev.
Within the framework of the memorandum, transport enterprises and departments of the two countries will receive additional opportunities to resolve operational issues and strengthen cooperation to create the most favorable conditions for road carriers.
