Uzbekistan’s UzAuto Motors company launched assembly of 5 models of Chevrolet cars (Damas, Labo, Lacetti, Tracker, Malibu) at the plant in Hajigabul city of Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to the press-services of the company.
Chevrolet Nexia and Cobalt cars have been produced there since September 2021.
All products are manufactured in accordance with global standards set by General Motors.
Starting from 2022, it is planned to produce at least 5,000 cars per year at the plant.
Production of the new car models is carried out at the facilities of the Azermash SR JV LLC. Azermash SR is a joint company founded by Uzbek Avtosanoat Invest LLC and Azerbaijani STA INSAAT LLC.
