Iran starts large-scale production of a new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Pehpad", the Air Force Commander of IRGC ( Islamic Revolution Guards Corps) Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh said to journalists.

Iran starts large-scale production of a new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Pehpad", the Air Force Commander of IRGC ( Islamic Revolution Guards Corps) Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh said to journalists on Sunday, last day of "Great Prophet 5" military drill. 

He added that the UAV is under testing in the trainings "Great Prophet 5", and its production will begin in the near future. The UAV "Pehpad" carries out operative exploration in the region and continuously transmits the received data to the command, Hajizade said.

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched trainings in the Hormuz Strait April 22. The "Great Prophet 5" trainings that timed to the date of creation of the Corps will be held over three days. The training will be attended by air, sea and ground units.
