Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stated that after “the photos of today’s meetings”, he has no credibility in the world as a foreign minister, Trend reports citing the Entekhab.ir website.

According to the report, after having announced his resignation on Instagram, Entekhab.ir contacted Zarif to confirm the accuracy of the information.

Zarif said in a short message that after “the photos of today’s meetings”, he has no credibility in the world as a foreign minister.

The Iranian media reported that what Zarif was referring to by “today’s meetings” was the meeting of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani – where Zarif was not present.

The Syrian president held talks with Iran’s supreme leader and president in Tehran last week.
