BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. Mohsen Paknejad has become Iran's new oil minister, Trend reports.
According to information, today (August 21), Iran's parliament held a vote of confidence in the candidates proposed by new President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Mohsen Paknejad became Iran's new oil minister with 222 votes.
To note, Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, submitted the names of the prospective ministers for a vote of confidence to the Iranian parliament on August 11.
Paknejad worked for many years in Iran's Oil Ministry and companies under the ministry. He was deputy oil minister for controlling hydrocarbon resources from 2018 through 2021.
