Iran to stop gasoline import next fiscal year

Iran will stop gasoline import during next fiscal year, starts on March 21, Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said Feb.14.

According to him, Iran would launch the first phase of Persian Gulf Star Refinery next month, Mehr reported.

The first phase of refinery would produce 12 million liters of gasoline per day.

According to an official document, prepared by the Oil Ministry and seen by Trend, Iran has produced 67.24 million liters of gasoline per day,

and also imported 10.8 million liters of gasoline per day during Mar. 21-Oct. 22, 2016.
