President Hassan Rouhani in a meeting with Danish Foreign Minister Martin Lidegaard here on Sunday expressed the hope that the West will be serious in its fight against terrorism, IRNA reported.
'I hope that the western countries will be serious in their fight against terrorism,' President Rouhani said during the meeting.
'Islamic Iran is serious in its fight against terrorism and it will do all its efforts to continue its fight,' he added.
President Rouhani noted that the consequence of the terrorist moves in the region is the spread of violence and its continuation will result in regional and global instability.
President Rouhani pointed to statements of the Danish foreign minister about the willingness of some western countries to fight active terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq, and said, 'We are happy that after many years the West has realized this clear reality that Iran has constantly insisted on and we hope that the West will be serious in this issues.
