Zarif: Sanctions' was to separate nation from government

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that aim of sanctions against Iran was not just imposing pressure on economy, but separation of nation from government, Irna reported.

He made the remarks in a conference in Tehran Medical Science University here on Thursday.

He added that such unfavorable atmosphere was broken by wise presence of people in election of year 1392 (Iranian calendar).

Zarif said that a big part of problems in the field of research is related to Iranophobia plan, and added that the problems have been resolved to a large extent and now by a firm efforts and constructive interaction we have to create a situation that re-imposing sanction against Iran could be impossible and world needs to pay attention to Iran's role in international arena and possibility to isolate Iran does not exist anymore.

If doors of the country open, we do not invite anyone to influence Iran, but we should make ourselves ready to influence world and prepare plans for a constructive influence and presence in world scientific, economy and trade arena.

I believe by existing high abilities of our scientists, we can reach important progresses in the world level, Zarif said.
