Iranian Minister of Education Ali Asqar Fani has revealed that his office is taking measures to fight Salafism.
In its think tank, the ministry has chosen fighting Salafism as the highest priority and it has made plans that are being carried out, Fani told ILNA news agency Aug. 9.
“Work has been done on the issue of Salafism and its impacts on the mindset of the youth. Programs have been made based on the findings and are being implemented,” the minister stated.
The minister did not provide any further explanations, as to for example whether the plans will be implemented nationally or in special areas of the country.
