Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is slated to travel to Afghanistan May 7 heading a high-ranking political delegation.
According to Bahram Ghasemi, the Foreign Ministry spokesman, the visit comes at the official invitation of Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, ISNA news agency reported May 6.
Besides his counterpart, Zarif is scheduled to hold talks with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah, and a number of other senior officials.
