As of operative data the Azerbaijan Finances Ministry, the public budget revenues were executed by 100.1% and 3,880,088 manats was remitted to the public budget instead of 3,836,767 manats.
Last year the amount of revenues exceeded the actual amount of 2005 public budget incomes by 88.8%.
In particular, tax revenues of the 2006 public budget of Azerbaijan remitted by the Taxes Ministry made up 2,715,3mln manats instead of the target of 2,631mln manats, the relevant forecast was fulfilled by 103.2%. As compared to 2005, the tax revenues of the public budget rose 1,287,6mln manats, or 90.2%.
Tax revenues from oil sector constituted 1,673,7mln manats in 2006, or 61.6% of all tax collection by the Taxes Ministry. The target was fulfilled by 108%. Thus, shareholders of the Azerbaijan International Operating Company, involved in oil production from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields, paid 972.9mln manats to public budget in profit taxes.
Tax revenues of the pubic budget through the public enterprises rose 25.9% and though private enterprises 2.4 times.
Last year the number of taxpayers increased in Azerbaijan by 45.2%, including the legal persons by 15.5%, while physical persons involved in individual entrepreneurship activities by 57.1%.
Some 70.8% of the revenue part of the State budget has been covered at the expense of the Taxes Ministry, whereas in 2005 the figure was equal to 69.5%. Special weight of all tax revenues with respect to GDP rose 3 points to 15%.
The Committee completely fulfilled the forecast on custom taxes and duties envisaged by Law on State Budget.
In 2006 some 515.9mln AZN was allocated to the State Budget by the customs officials in 2006. The forecast for 2006 was 505.4mln. AZN. The annual forecast was fulfilled by 102.1%, that is on 139.8mln AZN or 37.2% more versus the corresponding figure of 2005.
In 2006 the public budget expenditure constituted 3,779,397mln manats against the forecast of 4,024,767mln manats. As a result the expenses were implemented by 93.9%. At the same time, the public expenses exceeded the 2005 public budget expenses by 76.7%.
Despite the forecasts of 2006 public budget was designed with a deficit, as a result of non-fulfillment of expenditure articles the surplus appeared in the amount of 100,690mln manats against the forecast deficit in the amount of 188mln manats.
