Georgia, Tbilisi, August 28 /Trend, N. Kirtzkhalia/

Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili will submit the candidate to the post of Central Election Commission (CEC) head for consideration by parliament. The candidate will be recommended by the non-government sector.

The main thing is that this candidate would not represent any concrete political interests, Saakashvili told journalists.

"I present to the parliament the candidacy which was recommended by NGOs. We have given them a full carte blanche to call any representative or to sit down and choose someone else. As far as I know, another candidacy was chosen. The main thing is that this person would be critical, would not represent any political interests and would continue the tendency that has been so far at each subsequent election. In other words, there would be more trust to the each subsequent election than to the previous one, "the president noted.

Georgian NGOs has already determined the candidacy to the post of CEC head. This person is Tamar Jvania.
