Inside the Palestinian territories, there are 4.1 million Palestinians, 2.5 million of whom live in the West Bank and 1.6 million live in the Gaza Strip, the report said.
In Israel, there are 1.4 million Palestinians. In the Arab countries, there are about five million Palestinians. About 600, 000 Palestinians live in other foreign countries.
The demographic factor has always been at the central of Israeli-Palestinian conflict. By the end of 2010, 5.5 million Palestinians live in the Palestinian territories and Israel while the number of Israelis in the region is 5.7 million, according to the report.
The Palestinians hope to declare their statehood on the lands that Israel has occupied in 1967. Israel and the United States said that the Palestinian state should come through negotiated solution which was halted in September when Israel resumed building settlements in the West Bank.
