Arab World Materials 11 February 2011 06:57 (UTC +04:00)

Hundreds of protesters are marching to the Egyptian Presidential palace in Cairo, the Russia 24 channel reported.

Despite the deep night and the state of emergency, the crowd is marching to the capital's Masr El Gadida district, where the presidential palace located.

A lot of new members join the protesters on the road and, according to some sources, a youth march has more than two thousand people. Hundreds of young people intend to spend the night at the President's residence.

Protesters in Cairo's Tahrir Square reacted furiously to Mubarak's speech Thursday night, in which he refused to resign but handed authority to deputy Omar Suleiman.

One of the largest countries in Africa and the Middle East, Egypt plunged into anarchy from Jan. 25 because of the large-scale mass protests against President Hosny Mubarak. The protesters demand the immediate resignation of the 82-year-old president, who has been in power for more than 30 years, and fundamental political and economic reforms.
