Two Palestinians were injured Friday in clashes with Israeli forces in al-Arrub refugee camp north of Hebron, medics said Maan reported.
Luay al-Badawi was hit in the face with a plastic-coated bullet that broke his jaw, and then shot again in the head, Red Crescent official Nasser Qabaja told Ma'an.
Al-Badawi is in a critical condition in Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, Qabaja said.
Witnesses said a second man, who was not identified, was hit in the hand with a plastic-coated bullet.
Locals said clashes erupted after Israeli forces stormed the camp. Residents confronted the soldiers and threw stones at them, and the soldiers fired tear gas and plastic-coated bullets.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said soldiers responded to a "violent riot in which Palestinians hurled rocks at Israeli security forces" with "riot dispersal means."
She told Ma'an that forces used rubber bullets and that two Palestinians were injured.
