Israeli Defense Ministry Denies Information on Negotiations with HAMAS

Israel, Jerusalem / Trend corr. R.Abdulayev / Amos Gilad, head of the military-political department at the Israeli Defense Ministry, denied the information about negotiations with Palestinian terrorist organization HAMAS through Egyptian moderators, NEWSRU reported.

Gilad said no negotiation was held with HAMAS. However, Israel wants to support good relations with Egypt.

The key task of the Ministry is to stop the rocket bombing to Israeli residential areas and Gaza sector.

He said that neither Israel nor Lebanese shiit terrorist organization Hezbollah wants to increase the tension in the region, Kol Israel radio station reported.

Omar Suleyman, chief of Egyptian intelligence, who stood as a moderator between Israel and HAMAS, will develop an agreement on ceasefire and Israeli militaries will have to stop anti-terrorist operations, and HAMAS will be supposed to stop rocket bombing on West Negev and Ashkelon (south of Israel).
