The EU expressed its dissatisfaction and concern over the forced evictions of Palestinian families by the Israeli army in East Jerusalem, the EU representation website reported.
Two Palestinian families were evicted by Israeli police on Sunday in Sheikh Jara in East Jerusalem.
The EU has called the construction of homes and displacement of Palestinian families, as well as the expansion of Jewish settlements illegal actions that were contrary to international law. In addition, the actions of the Israeli government are contrary to numerous challenges of the international community, including the Quartet on the Middle East, to avoid provoking violence in East Jerusalem.
