An Israeli attack on a military research centre north of Damascus was a "declaration of war," Syria's deputy foreign minister said in an interview Sunday.
Faisal al-Mekdad told CNN that the attack was proof that Israel had allied itself with rebels fighting to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, dpa reported.
He said Syria would retaliate against Israel in its own time and way.
