BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 6. The Israeli military reported the elimination of Ali Jamal al-Din Jawad, the commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan special forces unit in southern Lebanon, in an air strike, the Israeli army press service says, Trend reports.
According to the information, the air force operation was carried out in the area of the settlement of Ebba. The elimination of Jawad "significantly narrows" the possibilities of Hezbollah "to carry out terrorist activity in southern Lebanon against northern Israel," the ministry noted.
The ministry said that some time ago, the Israeli Air Force struck a military structure and a Hezbollah terrorist facility in the Kfarkelah area" in the southern part of the neighboring country.
