Drug makers worldwide can produce an estimated 3 billion doses of the H1N1 vaccine per year and a single dose should be enough to give immunity, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Thursday, Reuters reported.
But the WHO said in a statement supplies would be inadequate for the world's 6.8 billion population because global manufacturing capacity for influenza vaccines is "limited, inadequate and not readily augmented".
