A Turkish worker died in a fire sparked by a blast in a shipyard in the largest Turkish city of Istanbul, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported Tuesday.
The worker was killed by the fire which engulfed a boiler room of a ship on which employees were doing construction in the industrial zone of Tuzla district in Istanbul, according to the report.
It added that two other workers were injured in the fire, Xinhua reported.
Gas compression is believed to be the cause of the explosion, the report said.
