Turkey announced mourning over the death of pupils and teachers at a military school in Peshawar (Pakistan), Turkish Anadolu agency quoted Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu Dec. 16 as saying.

"Turkey declared a day of mourning in connection with the death of pupils and teachers as a result of an attack on a military school in Peshawar, Pakistan," he said.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorist organization seized a military school in Peshawar, northwest Pakistan Dec. 17. Up to 500 pupils and teachers could have been in the building. According to the latest data, around 148 people were killed, most of them pupils.

Earlier, the Taliban said that they hoped to take revenge on the Pakistani servicemen who conduct operations against the militants' families.
