Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan adopted a petition of the Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on removal of his authority on the formation of a coalition government, Anadolu Agency reported.

Earlier, the Supreme Electoral Council of Turkey (YSK) decided that the constitutional preparatory period of three months for the elections could be shortened.

Turkey held a parliamentary election June 7, which involved 20 political parties. Over 53 million people cast their votes in the election.

During the June 7 parliamentary election, Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party garnered 40.9 percent of the vote, while the Republican People's Party (CHP) gained 25 percent.

Aside from that, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) got 16.3 percent, and the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) garnered 13.1 percent of the vote.
