Turkey bombs PKK positions in northern Iraq

Turkey's armed forces carried out a major operation against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.
A large number of F-4 and F-16 fighter jets were used during the operation, Anadolu Agency reported Feb. 6.
Turkish military inflicted air strikes using high-precision bombs on the PKK facilities in Qandil region in the northern Iraq.
Reportedly, PKK's weapon depots, fuel tanks, as well as shelters were destroyed during the operation.
