Turkish interior minister: Over 100 most dangerous terrorists eliminated

One hundred and eight most dangerous terrorists of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) were eliminated in Turkey in January-September 2019, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said, Trend reports referring to the Turkish media.
“Some 12,300 operations were carried out against PKK in Turkey during the reporting period,” he added.
“Turkey will intensify its fight against PKK, as well as other terrorist organizations,” Soylu said.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has been lasting around 40 years, claiming more than 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by the UN and the EU.
