Thirty-two Tajik trucks transported cargo in Turkey in September 2019, which is 27 Tajik trucks more compared to September 2018, Trend reports on Nov. 12 referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

In September 2019, four Tajik trucks transported cargo to Turkey’s Agri province through the Gurbulak checkpoint on the Iranian border, while 28 Tajik trucks transported cargo to Artvin province through the Sarp checkpoint on the border with Georgia.

Five trucks from Tajikistan transported cargo through the Sarp checkpoint in September 2018.

From January through September 2019, 934,404 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad, which is five percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

“Some 77.60 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation by vehicles from January through September 2019 accounted for the share of cargo transportation from Turkey by Turkish trucks,” the association said.

Thus, 269,653 foreign trucks transported cargo throughout Turkey from January through September 2019, which is three percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

“The share of cargo transportation from Turkey by foreign trucks amounted to 22.40 percent,” the association said.

Some 300,673 Turkish trucks transported cargo from foreign countries from January through September 2019.
