In November 2019, the volume of Russia’s cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 51.4 million tons, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
At this time, the volume of Russia’s cargo transshipment by vessels flying the Russian flag amounted to 5.5 million tons, and 42.8 million tons for those flying the flag of other countries.
The volume of Russia’s cargo transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.99 million tons.
In this period, 1.9 million tons of cargos were transported by transit from Russia through the Turkish ports, the ministry said.
Herein, 4,379 vessels arrived to the Turkish ports, gross tonnage of which amounted to 68 million tons.
During this month, 1,577 vessels arrived to the Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag, and 2,802 flying the flags of other countries.
The gross tonnage of the vessels arrived to the Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag, amounted to 11 million tons, and the vessels flying the flag of other countries to 57 million tons.
From January through November 2019, the Turkish ports received 50,987 vessels, gross tonnage of which amounted to 728 million tons.
During this period, 19,568 vessels arrived to the Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag, and 31,419 vessels flying the flag of other countries.
In the first 11 months of 2019, the gross tonnage of the vessels arrived to the Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag, amounted to 111.8 million tons, and the vessels flying the flag of other countries to 616.8 million tons, the ministry said.
