Kyrgyzstan significantly increases import of Turkish jewelry

Export of jewelry from Turkey to Kyrgyzstan increased by 45.16 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, and amounted to $26 million, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.

In March 2020, Turkey’s export of jewelry to Kyrgyzstan dropped by 37.09 percent compared to March 2019, amounting to $3.8 million.

During 1Q2020, Turkey exported jewelry worth $894.6 million to world markets, which is 9.6 percent more compared to the same period of 2019. Meanwhile, the export of jewelry from Turkey amounted to 2.1 percent of the country’s total export.

In March 2020, Turkey exported jewelry worth $230.5 million to world markets, which is 22.5 percent less compared to the same month of 2019, and 2.5 percent of the country’s total export. In this month, Turkey’s jewelry export amounted to 1.7 percent of the country’s total export.

From March 2019 through March 2020, Turkey exported jewelry in the amount of $4.1 billion.
