Uzbekistan reduces import of Turkish electrical goods in October

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov.24

Export of electrical goods from Turkey to Uzbekistan dropped by 30.8 percent in the past ten months of 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, making up $39.3 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend on Nov.24.

In October 2020, Turkey exported electrical goods worth over $6.2 million to Uzbekistan, which is 47.4 percent more than in October last year.

The export of electrical goods from Turkey to international markets declined by 5.6 percent from January through October 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to slightly over $8.7 billion.

The ministry said that Turkey’s export of electrical goods amounted to 6.4 percent of the country's total export over the reporting period.

In October this year, Turkey exported electrical goods worth $1.1 billion to foreign markets, which is 5.4 percent more than in the same month of 2019, noted the ministry.

Meanwhile, Turkey’s export of electrical products made up 6.5 percent of the country's total export.

Over the past 12 months (from October 2019 through October 2020), Turkey exported electrical goods in the amount of $10.7 billion.
