Turkish-Uzbek trade turnover decreases in 10M2020

Trade turnover between Turkey and Uzbekistan in October 2020 exceeded $310.8 million, which is a growth of $1.5 billion compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Trade.

In the reporting month, Turkey's exports to Uzbekistan amounted to $797 million, and imports from Uzbekistan – $721 million, the ministry said.

The trade turnover between the two countries from January through October 2020 was slightly over $15.8 million less than in the same period of 2019, equaling $182.3 million.

"The exports from Turkey to Uzbekistan for 10M2020 stood at $103.9 million, and imports from Uzbekistan - $78.4 million," noted the ministry.

Turkey's foreign trade turnover surpassed $37 billion in October 2020.

The ministry said Turkey's exports in October this year increased by 5.6 percent compared to the same months of 2019, reaching $17.3 billion.

At the same time, Turkey's imports rose by 8.4 percent year on year and totaled over $19.7 billion, the ministry.

According to the ministry, Turkey's trade turnover from January through October 2020 amounted to $311.5 billion.

In the past 10 months of this year, Turkey's exports dropped by 9.1 percent compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $135.6 billion, the ministry said.

Meanwhile, Turkey's imports increased by 1.2 percent over the year, amounting to $175.8 billion.

In 2019, Turkey's foreign trade turnover was equal to $374.2 billion.
