Uzbekistan records 2M2021 growth in Turkish chemicals import's value

The value of export of chemical products from Turkey to Uzbekistan increased by 28 percent from January through February 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, totaling over $43.8 million, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.

In February 2021, the export of Turkish-made chemicals to Uzbekistan grew by 45.7 percent compared to February 2020 and exceeded $25.6 million, said the ministry.

As reported, during the first 2 months of 2021, exports of the products from Turkey to global markets increased by 4.6 percent in annual terms, surpassing $3.31 billion.

In February 2021, Turkey exported chemical products worth over $1.67 billion to international markets, which is 12.7 percent more compared to February 2020, the ministry noted.

Over the past 12 months (from February 2020 through February 2021), Turkey’s exports of chemical products made up approximately $18.4 billion, added the ministry.
